Why Quality Control Matters: A Real-World School Supply Success Story

Quoting

International School Belgrade had a requirement for some Professional Art display panels, working within a fixed budget that needed to cover all costs including materials, transportation and all related expenses. The initial proposal fell outside of the budget, however EquipMySchool negotiated with the vendor to reduce the inland fees by almost 50% and ISB made some concessions on the quantity to ensure that the order could be placed in the knowledge that everything was within the finances allocated.

Delivery to EquipMySchool

When the order was initially delivered to the EquipMySchool facility it was refused by the quality control team. They identified examples of poor packaging, with numerous items falling out of cartons that showed cosmetic damage. EquipMySchool instructed the supplier to take the original order back and to urgently send out replacements.

When this information was relayed to ISB they were understandably concerned, specifically about the potential for the replacements to be later damaged whilst in transit to Serbia and the return costs that could be involved if the goods arrived in-country in poor condition. The school were keen to determine how, or if, this could be prevented. EquipMySchool outlined the re-packing process applied to all items that pass through the facility which includes wrapping items in bubble wrap, paper or foam as applicable, filling empty spaces with packing materials to prevent movement during transit, reinforcing boxes with additional cardboard and using high quality packing tape to ensure a secure seal.

These assurances were well received by the school and gave them the confidence that the panels would arrive in school in the best possible condition.

I would like to sincerely thank the entire EquipMySchool team for your outstanding support, particularly for the effort and flexibility shown in working within our budget constraints. Your willingness to negotiate and find practical solutions made a significant difference in enabling this project to move forward. We also greatly appreciated the transparency and care demonstrated when the initial shipment was identified as not meeting quality expectations. While we did have concerns regarding the condition of the panels and the risks associated with transportation, your team took the time to clearly explain the repacking process and reassure us at every step. This level of communication and attention to detail gave us full confidence, and we are very pleased that the panels arrived safely, carefully packaged, and in excellent condition.

This experience is yet another example of the exceptional level of service, reliability, and customer understanding that EquipMySchool has consistently provided to our school over the years. It is truly valued, and we very much look forward to continuing this successful partnership.
